CCA ANNOUNCES DANCE WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS

Center for Community Arts announces weekly Intergenerational Dance & Stretch as part of its fall Art of Vitality series. The workshops are skipping October 6 and will resume on the 13th from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Cape May City Elementary School gym. The cost is $5 per session at the door, and no advance registration is required. Participants can come to all or any combination of the workshops, which run through December 15.

Students will explore the art of movement through ballet, modern and stretching with Rebecca Davis of Community Outreach Dance Network. The originator of CCA’s “Art of Vitality” along with Jane Forde, Rebecca has been dancing over twenty years. She traveled with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania modern dance company, where she studied dance and education.

These programs are made possible in part by grants from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, Lower Cape Alliance, the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and many generous businesses and individuals.

Center for Community Arts is celebrating its tenth year of building community through the arts and humanities, and is working to transform the Franklin Street School into a community cultural center. For further information, call 884-7525 or visit www.CenterforCommunityArts.org.
