FALL ART ACTIVITIES FOR ADULTS

Center for Community Arts (CCA), in partnership with the Nature Center of Cape May, announces a wide range of art classes for adults beginning October. Three-week classes begin the second week of October and again the first week of November, and there are several one-day workshops as well. Classes meet week days and weekends, mornings, afternoons and evenings, so there is an opportunity for artistic expression to fit anyone’s busy schedule. Most sessions meet at the Nature Center of Cape May, 1600 Delaware Avenue. Fees are on a sliding scale, with discounts for CCA members, seniors and others on fixed incomes. Advance registration is required; for a detailed brochure and registration form, call CCA at 884-7525 or email info@centerforcommunityarts.org.

In addition to visual arts classes and craft workshops, art for adults includes Dance and Movement, and Fun with Hand Bells. Three-week sessions are Basketweaving, Let’s Draw!, Seascape Sculptures, Painting on Silk, Watercolors on Chinese Lanterns, Watercolor Landscapes, Black and White Photography with Hand Tinting, Creative Designs with Flowers, Fall Foliage, Painting with Acrylics and Oils, and Prints from Nature.

One-day workshops include Portrait Drawing, Silk Suncatchers, Edible Art, Art as Meditation, and Yule Log Workshop.

Teachers include Judy Ballinger, Cheryl Crews, Sharon Fruchtman-Laffey, Mary Federici, Tina Giaimo, Betsy Heegard and Carol Obligado, Laurie Schiffelbein, Shannon Sterner, and Jody Swope.

Sessions at the Nature Center of Cape May are accessible to users of wheelchairs.
