YOUTH ARTS CAMP KICKS OFF WITH PAPIER MACHE

Cape May City YAP Camp kicked off its first week with participants making papier mache creations. Students had the option of creating a masterpiece in the style of a famous visual artist, special family member, or favorite sport or hobby. Upcoming classes include theater, jewelry making, drawing and painting and much more. YAP Camp has two additional locations; The Millman Center in Lower Township and Wildwood High School is Wildwood.

Classes are filling up quickly and registration is required. Use our "camp links" to download and print a brochure. Classes are also available for children ages 6 - 10 and for adults.

CCA RECEIVES FREEHOLDER GRANT

The Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders presented CCA with a check in the amount of $5,500.00 for its Art at the Library Program. The Program, now on summer hiatus, will resume in the fall. Last spring, Art at the Library was hosted at the Cape May City Library, Wildwood Crest Library, and Lower Township Library.

The program is free and children ages 6 - 10 years old are invited to participate. Trained artists and teachers create a one hour program which includes an art related story and craft. Anyone interested in the fall schedule should contact their local library or call the CCA office.
