Whalers Cottage
6 – 9 pm A fundraiser to benefit the Center for Community Arts is to be held at the Whaler’s Cottage – at the Clemans’ beautifully restored country cottages, 1017-1019 Batt’s Lane, Lower Township. $75.

 

YAP Summer Art Camp
Cape May & Lower Township Summer Art Camp for children ages 10 – 14. 6 weekly sessions; 5 days per week from 6/29 – 8/21, 9 am - noon. Registration is limited to 20 students on a first come first serve basis. Cape May $90/week, $325/4 weeks. Lower Township FREE to residents. All material & snacks are included.June 29

Kids Camp
Cape May Kids Art Camp for children ages 5 – 9. Week-long projects Monday – Friday, 9 am – noon, June 28th – August 20th. There will be a new theme each week. $90/week, $325/4 weeks. All material & snacks are included.

Summer Shore Slam Camp Fire Stories
Family friendly storytelling and poetry competition. Nature Center in Cape May. Call CCA at 884-7525 or Nature Center at 898-8849 for information. $5 per person, 3 yrs old & under is FREE.

Camp Congress Hall
Dinner and art activities at the historic hotel, Congress Hall. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays. (June 28 – July 31). Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday (Aug – Sept 6th). 5:30 – 9:30 pm. Ages 4 - 12.

Reception at Whitesboro’s - MLK Jr. Community Center. For exhibit Hours and information call MLK Jr. Community Center at 465-8747.

Crystal Ball Gala
The Center for Community Arts celebrates its 15th anniversary Gala – Crystal Ball. The event will be held at the Cape May / Lewes Ferry on Saturday, September 25 from 6 - 10 pm. Cintron Band will provide the entertainment. Tickets - $60 per person.

 

June to September
African American Heritage Walking Tour of Cape May
Thursdays & Saturdays at 11:00 a.m.The Center for Community Arts presents an entertaining and informative walking tour. Hidden in plain sight among Cape May’s Victorian beauty are stories of Harriet Tubman, blacks-only beaches and USO, the thriving African American business, social and religious community and the fate of the segregated Franklin Street School. Call 884-7525 for further information.

Summer Classes- Adults

July 7 to August 21
Adult Art Classes
Watercolor painting, yoga, silk painting, yoga for kids, artsy books, basket weaving. All classes are held at the Cape May Elementary School.
