Job Announcement

The Center for Community Arts (CCA) produces arts and humanities programs that embrace diversity and foster creativity and community. It is a growing multicultural organization whose programs promote interaction across generations and social and economic groups. The organization is governed by a Board of Trustees with an active committee structure. CCA’s Youth and Adult Arts Programs, African American History Program, community radio station - WCFA-LP 101.5FM , and artist residencies serve the cultural needs of the residents of and visitors to the Cape May area. CCA is currently rehabilitating the Franklin Street School, a New Jersey African American Historic Site that will house its programs and a community cultural center.

The Executive Director of the Center for Community Arts is responsible for the overall administration and management of the organization and the achievement of its mission, program and financial goals and objectives. Approximately 50% of the Executive Director’s time is devoted to fundraising.

Successful candidates will have strong organizational, administrative and financial skills with at least 5 years in a senior management position with a cultural organization. Applicants must have a proven track record of successful fundraising, including grant writing and major donor development. Center for Community Arts seeks a visionary and strategic leader who can lead the organization through its transition to a facility-based management operation. Candidates should possess strong team building skills and a collaborative work style. The position requires the willingness to work outside of traditional office hours. Applicants must have a Bachelors Degree, though a Masters Degree is preferred.

Salary range is $60,000 - $65,000 plus benefits.
