Since our founding in 1995, CCA members and volunteers have been making a real difference in the Cape May County community.Today the CCA founders’ mission of celebrating and serving the diversity of our community has never seemed more relevant.
CCA’s youth arts programs, summer art camps, Franklin Street School preservation, and African-American history tours and exhibits all provide unique opportunities to help our area’s kids, to celebrate our rich history, and to help bring the community together around the dynamics of art, history and music. Creativity Lab, our newest youth program, is now offered at the Cape May Elementary School and Glenwood Elementary in Wildwood. Programming on WCFA 101.5 continues to grow with several new music and local interest shows debuting in the last few months. New partnerships with the Cape May Forum, MAC, the Cape May Film Society and Lower Cape May Regional High School have enabled us to extend our programming to even more people in our community. These programs are planned and produced by just a few staff members and many volunteers.
Community involvement and volunteerism are core values at CCA. In fact, it is the reason many of our members (including me) joined CCA in the first place and the reason they are still with us after many years.
Your membership is important – it says you support our work, contributes needed financial help, and connects you to the benefits of our classes, camps, and other educational programs.
